Phil R. White is a dominion Sculptor of Canada.  Primarily, his works are figurative art. He is an architectural sculptor and carver who  creates works in stone, wood, and bronze. Our visit to Phil’s workshop was align with our research on milling stone with robots. Here Phil describes the processes of curving and sculpturing stone. Phi described the analog  processes of sculpturing with clay, then  molding the clay with gypsum, then measuring and carving stone with the help of the pointy tool (see the top right  image).  Down-left is his stone curving workshop. Learning the analog processes , we are now looking into a hybrid processes of  mason and robot stone carving.
